The seventh annual “Ding” Darling Wednesday Film Series winds up its biweekly showings with Saving Atlantis at 1 p.m. April 3 in the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge Visitor & Education Center.

Coral reefs serve as a linchpin in the world food web; their decline leads our entire planet in a perilous direction naturally, culturally, and economically.

Saving Atlantis focuses on the drastic loss of coral reef ecosystems around the world, how the loss impacts human communities that depend on the ecosystems, and those who are looking for causes and fighting for solutions before it’s too late.

Ding” Darling Wildlife Society-Friends of the Refuge hosts the free film showing with sponsorship from Sanibel-Captiva Beach Resorts. Seating is limited and on a first-come basis.

A short discussion will follow the film to allow visitors to gain more from their documentary-viewing experience by listening to other people's points of view and analyzing what they just watched.
