Sanibel artist Barbara Eisenberg will be the guest speaker at the next Sanibel Captiva Art League meeting from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way. The topic of this presentation will be “Thinking In Reverse, The Art of Printmaking.” The public is welcome to attend.

In vibrant color and energetic design, recognized artist Barbara Eisenberg uses the printmaking process as a primary means of expression. Her presentation will incorporate the emphasis placed on spatial concepts and her intuitive response to these ideas in simple, bold imaginative forms through monotype, relief, intaglio, collograph and lithograph. This medium offers limitless possibilities for the artist.

An Ohio snowbird wintering on Sanibel for the past 35 years, Barbara has studied with visiting professional printmaking artists and design professors at the Cleveland Institute of Art and full-time at local colleges.  Her work has been shown in solo and group shows at galleries and museums regionally and nationally and is represented in private collections.

We are very excited to host another captivating local artist. This presentation promises to be interesting, educational and fun. All San Cap Art League meetings are free and open to the public.
