Sanibel poet Lorraine Walker Williams announces the publication of her new book of poetry Simply Sanibel Poems, Lorraine’s fifth book of poetry. This collection is a poetic journey as Lorraine touches all corners of Sanibel, whether it be barefoot on the beach or pedaling about the island on its 25 miles of bike paths. Walker Williams reveals the magic of Sanibel and the surrounding islands through evoking the natural environment.

Lorraine is a member of Sanibel Island Writers where she serves on the Coordinating Committee. She is the Creator of the collaborative artist-poet project, ArtPoems. Lorraine serves on the Scholarship Committee at BIG ARTS and has presented poetry at Art Salon, Gulf Coast Writers and at the National and State Conferences of the National League of American Pen Women.

She has read her poems at the Library of Congress and at The Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco where she was awarded first prize for her work. Lorraine has been nominated twice for the Pushcart Prize. She is a member of Gulf Coast Writers.
