Members of the Sanibel and Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS® helped clean the beach Saturday, Oct. 13, as part of International Coastal Cleanup Day. The annual event was organized by Keep Lee County Beautiful and the Bailey-Matthews National Shell Museum.

The SCIAR cleanup crew included island REALTORS®, affiliate business partners and association staff. They worked diligently with other members of the community to clean up litter and debris from along the shoreline of the Sanibel Causeway.

“We are lucky to live in a place where residents and visitors treat every day like Coastal Cleanup Day and strive to keep our beaches clean year round,” said SCIAR 2019 President Kasey Albright. “It made it an easy day for us, with not too much to pick up. We thank the members who gave their time to help improve and care for our local beaches.”
