Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, celebrating 15 years of business, is supporting the 34th Annual Luminary Holiday Stroll as a Gold Sponsor. Organized by the Sanibel Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce, Luminary has become a popular kick off to the holiday season with friends and family.

Beautifully lit paths lead to merry landmarks where festival goers can enjoy an array of activities, music and refreshments at participating businesses. Santa makes an appearance for photos and shoppers may find holiday specials at some of the island’s unique shops.

“Luminary is about gathering friends and family for a holiday-filled evening, but highlights our wonderful shopping and dining options on the islands,” said Chamber President John Lai. “We are grateful for the support of Sanibel Captiva Community Bank and congratulate them on 15 years of serving our community.”

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank began as a single island branch and has grown to seven locations from the islands to Fort Myers. It supports more than 100 organizations each year through bank donations and volunteerism. In 2017, it earned the Industry Appreciation Award from the Horizon Council and Lee County Economic Development Office.

“We are nationally ranked among the top 20 best performing U.S. community banks with assets under $1 billion,” said Bank President Craig Albert. “For us, celebrating 15 years of growth and success has been made possible because of our employees, customers and the community.”

Luminary is from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7 on Sanibel and Saturday, Dec. 8 on Captiva. It stretches from end of Periwinkle Way to the other on Sanibel and spans Captiva Drive to South Seas Island Resort and Andy Rosse Lane to the beach on Captiva.
