Zurbriggen Financial is a Silver Sponsor of the 10th Annual 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H., an annual event that supports the island non-profit organization F.I.S.H. of SANCAP.

We see the value that F.I.S.H. brings to Sanibel in the families it provides for, the children it feeds, the lonely it comforts, those in need who are extended a helping hand up,” said Zurbriggen Financial President Rick Zurbriggen. “We are proud to partner with them in this effort.”

Rick and his wife Evette have lived on the island since 2000 and have two sons, Derick and Kyle. The two are Foster parents to two young girls through Florida Baptist Children's Homes. They volunteer at Sanibel Community Church, with Rick serving as treasurer, on Council and the missions team and Evette serving on the youth H2O team as a youth leader an on mission trips.

Sanibel is an unbelievable place to volunteer,” the couple says. “We love the small town feel of this island and find it to be an amazing place to live, work and volunteer.”

Their firm, Zurbriggen Financial, has been offering comprehensive wealth management to successful retirees and business owners since 1983 and on Sanibel since 2003.

We love doing business on this island because its full of caring and giving people,” said the Zurbriggens. “People who are making a difference in their community with their time and money, people who really do care.”

The 10K Race 4 F.I.S.H. is Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Sanibel Community House. It draws hundreds of runners from near and far, some of whom participate every year. Runners receive a t-shirt featuring the Hortoon race logo, a bag full of goodies and a medallion.

Rick and Evette at Zurbriggen Financial have been tremendous supporters of F.I.S.H.,” said Ed Ridlehoover, 10K Race committee co-chair. “Our island is full of kind people and the Zurbriggens are among them.”
