F.I.S.H. OF SANCAP, with a panel of experts, is offering an interactive community discussion, Living Alternatives for The Aging Population, from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24 at Saint Michael & All Angel’s Episcopal Church, 2304 Periwinkle Way, Sanibel. Lunch will be provided.

Experts will work with participants to develop a plan to age in place, if possible. They will discuss state of the art home adaptations for older adults, and when to consider bringing in home care professionals. Consideration of a continuum of care community and related financial matters will also be addressed.

“Each client's situation is completely unique to them, so I work to provide a plan that incorporates their specific goals and needs, while working hand-in- hand with their other senior care providers to maximize the estate for the long term,” states Rick Gow, Wealth Management Advisor with Lara, May & Associates. “This approach helps seniors and families develop an action plan to address their long-term care plans, create a foundation based on their goals and sets a financial plan in place for themselves and their loved ones.”

Join the panel of experts from Care Right, Inc.; Lara, May & Associates; Golden Care and Cypress Point Senior Living Community to discuss options for aging in place. For additional information and to RSVP, contact Kathy Y. Monroe, FISH Program Director at (239) 472-4775.
