NAPLES – Keys for the Heart, a concert to benefit Rotary's Gift of Life Florida, a 501c3 organization that provides life-saving open heart surgeries for children, will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 625 111th Ave., Naples.

The evening concert, made possible in part with the support of Northern Trust, will feature performances by renowned Italian pianist Francesco Attesti, The Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra conducted by Yaniv Segal, and soprano Nathalia Avila.

Francesco Attesti will perform W. A. Mozart: Piano Concerto K 449 in E flat major. Attesti is considered one of the finest interpreters of the Romantic and early Twentieth Century Repertoire. The epitome of his collaborative work was his performance with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of Prague, performing the European premier of “Chiavi in Mano” by the Pulitzer Prize winning composer Yehudi Wyner. Currently Fransesco performs regularly in international concert halls like Philharmonia Hall of Saint Petersburg, Tchalkovsky Conservatory of Moscow, Mozarteum of Salzburg, Philharmonie Essen, International Piano Festival of Warsaw, Sarajevo Winter Festival, and the Conservatory “G. Verdi” in Milan.

Nathalia Avila has gained recognition for her ‘sumptuous tone’ and creative a ‘vivid portait’ of the roles she portrays on the operatic stage. She made her debut as Santussa in 2013 in Cavalleria Rusticana with the Miami Lyric Opera, followed by a concert appearance in Viva Verdi! with Orchestra Miami. Ms. Avila was featured as the soprano soloist in Mandel’s Messiah with the Royal Danish Academy of Music Choir and Orchestra and in numerous concerts with the Miami Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Miami, Symphony of the Americas and the Florida Chamber Orchestra.

The Naples Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is Artis-Naples’ orchestra training ensemble for motivated young musicians. The NPYO provides opportunities for middle and high school students in Lee and Collier counties to perform a wide range of music, including classical, pop and film score selections. This intensive program places accomplished young musicians in rehearsal and performance settings with the Naples Philharmonic. The NPYO also performs Side-by-Side concerts with the Naples Philharmonic under the baton of features guest conductors and Yaniv Segal, Assistant Conductor of the Naples Philharmonic. Auditions are held in the fall and spring. Once selected, student musicians rehearse on Sundays from September through May and are coached by Naples Philharmonic musicians.
