As Sanibel Public Library continues the next phase of “Your Library Reimagined” remodel project, parts of the Library are being renovated as the facility is open for normal operating hours.

The popular “Fill-A-Bag for A Dollar” sale starts Saturday, Nov. 3. Sale will continue until inventory is depleted.

Learn about MakeyMakey and build a circuit that turns fruit into musical instruments! For age eight and older. Program runs from 3 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

Witness the sinking of RMS Titanic in VR on Thursday, Nov. 15. Users will leave with a greater understanding of the tragedy that unfolded in 1912. Registration is required due to experience length (10 to 20 minutes). Call the SPL at 239-472-2483 to setup a viewing time between 10 a.m. and noon.

On Monday, Nov. 19 and Tuesday, Nov. 20 explore your creative side from 1 to 4 p.m. with ROK Blocks. Young builders can create 3D construction models with the blocks. No registration required.

Weekly Youth Events run through Nov. 15, and resumes Nov. 27:
• Geared specifically for children in fourth through sixth grade, the “After-school Clique” will meet at 3 p.m. Tuesdays. The group will be crafting, building, and playing—with books and a snack.
• Family Storytime for preschoolers and their caregivers will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesdays and repeated at 11 a.m. Thursdays. This program helps develop pre-reading skills through songs and stories.
• The “After-School Crew,” (for children in Kindergarten to third grades) will meet at 3 p.m. on Thursdays. Books, crafts, plus snack provided. Anyone who loves dogs and books might enjoy reading to Bessie, a bearded collie and Reading Education Assistance Dog. At 3:45 p.m. on rain-free Thursday afternoons, kids can sign-up on-the-spot, program finishes by 5 p.m.
