Ocean Tribe Paddlers will host a complimentary screening of the documentary “The Forgotten Coast: Return to Wild Florida” at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at Sanibel Sea School, 455 Periwinkle Way. It is open to the public.

Following in the footsteps of a wandering Florida black bear, three friends leave civilization and enter a lost American wilderness on a rugged thousand-mile journey by foot, paddle and bike. Traversing Florida’s vast and seldom seen “Forgotten Coast,” the expedition team encounters stunning and rare wildlife including black bears, manatees, alligators, ancient river fish and endangered woodpeckers – all living within the fragile wildlife corridor stretching from the Everglades to the Florida-Alabama border.

Ocean Tribe Paddlers is a club hosted by Sanibel Sea School that helps the SWFL paddling community better explore, enjoy, and understand the ocean. Visit www.oceantribepaddlers.org for more information.
