Sanibel Sea School will offer a field trip April 5 to the Lee County Recycling Center as part of the organization’s adult class program. “Recycling plays an important role in limiting the amount of plastic that accumulates on our planet,” said Marine Science Educator Shannon Stainken. “Understanding your local recycling procedures helps ensure best practices at home and can have a positive impact on the ocean over the long haul. We hope you’ll join us for this tour of our local facility,” she added.

Program cost is $10 per person, transportation will be provided and leaves from Sanibel Sea School at 9 a.m. The group will stop at a restaurant for lunch on the way home, but the cost of lunch is not included. Return time is approximately 3 p.m. Call (239) 472-8585 to RSVP.
