Surfing is a favorite activity among Sanibel Sea School campers.
General registration for Sanibel Sea School’s 2019 summer camp programs will open at 10 AM on Saturday, February 16th. A variety of exciting ocean camps are available for campers ages 4-18 at three locations, including the nonprofit organization’s Flagship Campus on Sanibel’s east end, Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, and Canterbury School in Fort Myers.

Each week has a different ocean theme, and highlights include sharks, shells, and sea turtles for 6-13 year olds. These programs include ocean skills like surfing, snorkeling, and net fishing, as well as games, activities, and art. For 4-6 year olds, frigate bird, octopus, and hermit crab-themed weeks will offer a chance to splash and learn while getting comfortable in the ocean.

Teens can participate as Counselors In Training, learning useful leadership skills in a fun setting, and the organization offers coral reef expeditions to the Florida Keys and Belize for older campers. Teen camps also include paddling, camping, fishing, survival skills, and more.

Sanibel Sea School is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to improve the ocean’s future, one person at a time. For details about 2019 summer camp programs, please visit www.sanibelseaschool.org. Requests to receive camp-related emails can be sent to info@sanibelseaschool.org.
