Two lines of thunderstorms passed over Sanibel and Captiva on Friday, April 19, that brought five- to seven-foot waves rolling in at high tide around 1 p.m. at Blind Pass, an area prone to flooding. The City of Sanibel reported no damaging effects island-wide in its all clear issued just before 6 p.m. Friday. Islanders and visitors experienced windy and cooler weather on Saturday. Beautiful weather in the mid-70s on Easter Sunday is expected.
