Adult Wine Course: How to Buy Wine

The “How to Buy Wine” class at the Sanibel Community House starts with class discussion on the basics of how wine is made and how to taste it; answering the most frequently asked questions that will help most in learning about wine and how to buy it. The class provides the participants with an introduction to understanding the major grape varieties and where they are grown in the world. The fourth and final class in the series focuses on the many wine choices available to today’s wine lover as well as a basic understanding of how the wine industry works and primary ways consumers can purchase wine. Although the wine classes follow in a series, they are designed to be fun and informative regardless of the order in which they are taken or topics discussed.
