Lieutenant Grace Towler will discuss different issues that are threats to the community, increase awareness of certain crimes, and teach participants what to do to intervene and prevent victimization. “You can never be too safe,” says Towler. “By taking a few simple precautions, you can reduce risk to yourself and your property.” Lieutenant Towler has been with the Sanibel Police Department since 2007, serving in road and beach patrol, crime scene investigation, and is currently assigned to the Emergency Management division. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Hodges University in 2007 and her master’s degree in criminal justice from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2012.
