CANCELED Lee Blue Wave

The Progressive Club of the Islands will feature Lee Blue Wave Coalition Chair, Mary Beth Borre, who will discuss the topic: “Grassroots 2020: What You Can Do From Anywhere.” The meeting is free and open to the public.

Borre has served as Chair of the Lee Blue Wave Coalition since 20l9. Additionally she serves as Committee Member, Future Now Fund, Rising Tide Giving Ciricle. Her resume includes Precinct Leader for Lee DEC; Founder of Alliance for Constructive Dialogue and Action. Former long time resident of Boston, found her active as Office Manager/Fundraiser for the Boston Mayor’s race in 2013; serving as General Campaign Office and Field Coordinator for the Kerry/Edwards campaign in 2004; General Campaign Office and Field Coordinator for the Clinton/Gore race in l996. Currently living in Bonita Springs, Boore will share her extensive political campaign experience with action plans for attendees to stay involved throughout the 2020 election year.

Stein is the Volunteer Leader of the Future Now Fund (FNF)-Rising Tide Giving Circle, to bring the highest value political spending to win elections, change politics, and improve lives in Florida. FNF is an organization focusing on changing the political landscape of state legislatures. Stein works to identify and endorse inspiring, committed candidates in Florida State House districts, and will share her effort to fund winning campaign tactics in these selected districts.

Attendees will hear opportunities and specific plans from Borre and Stein, to remain actively involved in the club’s on-going effort to elect progressive candidates.
