SUMMARY:Kiwanis Spaghetti Dinner
DESCRIPTION:Each year on the last Saturday in February the Kiwanis Club throws a party for the whole community—the annual Spaghetti Dinner! You are bound to see some old friends there\, and probably meet some new ones. Now in its third decade\, the Spaghetti Dinner has become an island institution. \nDiners get a complete Italian feast\, with spaghetti\, sauce\, meatballs\, salad\, garlic bread and beverages (wine and soda)\, and it’s all-you-can-eat. Admission is $10 in advance or $11 at the door\, and children under 10 eat free! (Dessert and coffee are extra\, and will again feature the popular cakes from the Bubble Room on Captiva.) Advance tickets can be purchased from any Kiwanis member and also at Bailey’s General Store\, Bank of the Islands\, Sanibel-Captiva Community Bank\, Big Red Q Printing\, Island Pharmacy and Periwinkle Park. \nAll proceeds from the Spaghetti Dinner are used by the Kiwanis Foundation to support education and recreation programs for island youth\, including the Kiwanis Scholarship Program for deserving students. Said Kiwanis President Aaron Pruss\, “Our Club is proud to host the Spaghetti Dinner each year\, even though it’s a lot of work for our members and a big commitment from our sponsors.
