For the most part\, these are the same guys who created “The Lightfoot Sound.” That’s why Lightfoot’s concerts were known for their precise arrangements\, true to the original records\, and why The Lightfoot Band can continue to present the Songs of Gordon Lightfoot as they were originally written and recorded. \nAndy has been a close personal friend of Gordon and the band for nearly 50 years and therefore knows the material well\, so it was only natural that when they decided to continue performing the music live\, they called him. The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club is excited to be returning to the Sanibel Community House on Sanibel Island in March to reunite with the 89th annual Shell Festival. Hosted jointly by the Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club and the Sanibel Community Association\, this shell event will enable shell lovers to experience more shell items than ever before! \nThe Sanibel Community House at 2173 Periwinkle Way will provide a comfortable\, on-island venue for shell lovers\, with an outdoor dining area and family-friendly activities\, including a Living Shell Exhibit to educate and entertain youngsters about the wonders of conchology/seashells. \nProceeds from the 2026 Show will support both The Sanibel-Captiva Shell Club’s annual Grants Program\, as well as Community House programs and its operating budget.
