For the most part\, these are the same guys who created “The Lightfoot Sound.” That’s why Lightfoot’s concerts were known for their precise arrangements\, true to the original records\, and why The Lightfoot Band can continue to present the Songs of Gordon Lightfoot as they were originally written and recorded. \nAndy has been a close personal friend of Gordon and the band for nearly 50 years and therefore knows the material well\, so it was only natural that when they decided to continue performing the music live\, they called him. The Lightfoot Band performed 26 concerts in 2024 and is looking forward to many more in 2025. \nIn his solo shows\, Andy plays songs from a variety of artists\, including John Prine\, Kenny Chesney\, Jimmy Buffett\, Kenny Rogers\, Kris Kristofferson\, and more. Of course\, you’ll also hear the Lightfoot songs\, from the hits to the lesser-known gems\, along with stories about Lightfoot’s life and times and how the songs were written and recorded. \nHe will perform at the Tiki Hut of the American Legion Post 123 on Sanibel.
