Man Injured in Single Motorcycle Crash

A motorcyclist loses control of his bike and is injured in a crash Saturday, June 29, on Algiers Road. Charles Woods, 49, Sanibel, told police he was traveling too fast on the dirt road, when he negotiated a turn and lost control of his motorcycle. He was transported to Health Park Hospital for a possible broken arm.

Elizabeth Rizzo Gavin, 61, Fort Myers, was traveling west on Periwinkle Way at 4:28 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, when she attempted to turn south onto Casa Ybel Road, but stopped suddenly for pedestrians, and the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Nicole Vawter, 33, Cape Coral.

Ekaternia Keating, 33, Sanibel, was traveling at a slow speed in the 1500 block of Periwinkle Way at 4:25 p.m. Saturday, July 1, when the back of her vehicle was struck by a vehicle operated by Dorothy McGovern, 73, Fort Myers.
