100+ Women Who Care Sanibel & Captiva Islands will launch its 2026 season with its first meeting on Tuesday, February 10, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., at the Sanibel & Captiva Islands Association of REALTORS®, inviting women to come together for an hour of collective philanthropy and local impact.
Powered by the Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI) and presented by the season sponsor, Florida Trust Wealth Management, 100+ Women Who Care is a giving circle in which members donate $100 per meeting, with three meetings held each season.
At each meeting, members hear short pitches from three randomly selected local nonprofits and vote to award the pooled funds to the nonprofit with the most votes. Members can attend the meetings in person or via Zoom.
Building on the success of its inaugural season, the 2026 program will include an additional $18,000 in grant funding, made possible by two anonymous donors. These funds will increase the first-place award and extend grants to the second- and third-place nonprofit organizations.
In its inaugural 2025 season, the giving circle raised more than $51,000 to support Community Housing and Resources (CHR), the Children’s Education Center of the Islands (CECI), and The Sanibel School Fund.
“When women come together with a shared purpose, the impact multiplies,” said Jane Majeski, CFI board member and co-chair of the Wavemakers Steering Committee. “The generosity behind this program reflects the strength and spirit of our community.”
Meetings are open to both returning members and women interested in joining. Members may sign up at SanCap100.org or mail a $300 check to PO Box 1429, Sanibel, FL 33957.
Checks should be made payable to Charitable Foundation of the Islands, with “100+ Women Who Care” noted in the memo line.
