The City of Sanibel and the Sanibel Recreation Center invite the community to a festive and family-friendly 4th of July Celebration on Friday, July 4, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel-Captiva Road.
Sanibel’s 50th Anniversary Workgroup proudly sponsors this year’s celebration and promises a fun-filled afternoon of holiday cheer, island spirit, and community connection. The event is free and open to the public, with activities for all ages to enjoy.
Guests can look forward to swimming in our pools, inflatable play in the gymnasium, face painting, and a festive holiday craft activity generously sponsored by Saint Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church. The Sanibel Fire Department will join the fun with a lively and much-anticipated water balloon fight.
Classic American fare, including hot dogs, snacks, and refreshing drinks, will be available, along with delicious ice cream treats from Pinocchio’s Original Italian Ice Cream.
This special day is made possible by the support of valued community partners, including Sanibel Captiva Community Bank, Bailey’s General Store, Big D’s BBQ Farmers Market, and Pinocchio’s.
