A Minor Hit-and-Run Reported to Police Last Week

A minor hit-and-run of a parked vehicle was reported to Sanibel Police last week. An officer responded to the parking lot of Tarpon Bay Explorers, 900 Dunlop Rd., at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, after a visitor found a small dent in the rear door on the passenger side of his rental vehicle.

Edward Albers, 61, Huber Heights, Ohio, told officers he was informed of the hit-and-run when he returned from the water and discovered a business card from Roger Brownell on his vehicle. The officer attempted to contact Brownell for more information, but was unable to reach him.
