April 8 Marks SanCap Chamber Annual Meeting

Keynote speaker Bryan Griffin, new president and chief executive officer of VISIT FLORIDA; the introduction of the board of directors for 2026; an overview of 2025-2026 achievements; and the presentation of annual membership awards headline the SanCap Chamber annual meeting luncheon on Wednesday, April 8. It takes place 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Myers.

Annual membership awards include Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Sue Rosica Gray Volunteer of the Year, and Citizen of the Year.

“We are excited to feature a keynote speaker at our annual meeting for the first time, at least since I’ve been here the past 10 years,” said John Lai, chamber president and chief executive officer. “We look forward to hearing an update on VISIT FLORIDA from the state’s tourism agency new leader.”

From Tampa, Fla., Griffin has a long career in writing, communications, marketing, and advocacy. In addition to leading the communications team for the Executive Office of the Governor, he has served as a national director for the Maccabee Task Force and previously owned and managed a real estate company and craft beverage tap room in Tampa. He is a lawyer, published author, and pilot.

Tickets for the annual meeting luncheon are $75 each, available through 5 p.m. Friday, April 3. Advance registration is required to attend; walk-ins are not accepted.
