Bank of the Islands has once again reinforced its year-round support for F.I.S.H. of Santiva-Captiva. In the weeks leading up to Christmas and Hanukkah, the Bank donated dozens of toys and other gifts to F.I.S.H., which distributed them to neighboring families in need. The Bank’s lobby also served as a collection point for islanders stepping up to ensure all islanders have what they need for their Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations.

Beyond this seasonal partnership with F.I.S.H., Bank of the Islands also accepts year-round donations of non-perishable food items through the collection box in its Sanibel lobby at 1699 Periwinkle Way.

“Whether during the days before Thanksgiving or in the lean off-season summer months on our islands, keeping the F.I.S.H. Food Pantry well-stocked is such an important way to be of service and show how much we appreciate being your island bank,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff.

As the oldest locally owned and managed community bank in Lee County, Bank of the Islands is proud to be the winner of more than 50 “Best of the Islands” awards. We’re especially honored to be voted Best Bank, Best Financial Services, and Best Mortgage Broker for 2025-2026. The Bank has retained a 5-Star Superior Rating from BauerFinancial for more than a decade. The Sanibel office of Bank of the Islands is located at 1699 Periwinkle Way, at the corner of Casa Ybel Road. The Captiva office is at 14812 Captiva Drive, next to the Captiva Post Office.
