Bank of the Islands Donates to FISH

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

Winner Wendy Harris with Maggi Feiner and Maria Espinoza of F.I.S.H. and Bank of the Islands’ Heather Harrison (with a furry friend).

Bank of the Islands recently made its latest non-profit donation through its “We Love Our Islands” program. Islander Wendy Harris was the lucky winner. Harris chose F.I.S.H. of San-Cap to receive the Bank’s $1,200 donation.

This donation brings the total to $158,800 given away to date through Bank of the Islands’ “We Love Our Islands” program. It also represents the Bank’s ongoing commitment to double its weekly outlay for the program.

“It’s just great that Wendy chose to direct the Bank’s latest donation to F.I.S.H.,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “Whether it’s holiday and back-to-school collection drives, serving as a drop-off location for the food pantry, or supporting its fundraising events, our Bank is an ongoing and dedicated F.I.S.H. partner. Their work is vital to our islands’ close-knit community culture.”

All islanders are invited to visit the Bank’s Sanibel or Captiva offices to pick up a vehicle decal and learn more about the “We Love Our Islands” program and how you and your favorite charity can become our next lucky winners.

As the oldest locally owned and managed community bank in Lee County, Bank of the Islands is proud to be the winner of more than 50 “Best of the Islands” awards. We’re especially honored to be voted Best Bank, Best Financial Services, and Best Mortgage Broker for 2025-2026. The Bank has retained a 5-Star Superior Rating from BauerFinancial for more than a decade. The Sanibel office of Bank of the Islands is located at 1699 Periwinkle Way, at the corner of Casa Ybel Road. The Captiva office is at 14812 Captiva Drive, next to the Captiva Post Office.
