Bank of the Islands recently made its latest non-profit donation through the “We Love Our Islands” program. Longtime islanders John and Kelly Seaman were the lucky winners and selected the local United States Power Squadrons chapter to receive the $800 donation.

This donation marks $146,600 given away to date through the Bank of the Islands’ “We Love Our Islands” program. It also represents the sixth donation since the bank doubled the weekly outlay for the program.

“We’re so pleased the Seamans chose the Power Squadron for our latest donation,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “This group has taught so many first-time boaters and those new to our coastal waters how to enjoy them safely and keep our water-based recreation among the best in the world.”

“They have been such a formative group for ensuring safe nautical operators along the Gulf of Mexico coastline, rivers, and estuaries surrounding Sanibel and Captiva and all over our country’s waterways,” said Roepstorff. “This donation is a great way to show how much we appreciate being your island bank.”
