As the official Home Run Sponsor, Bank of the Islands was proud to support the Sanibel-Captiva Chamber of Commerce for the 32nd Annual Sam Bailey Islands Night Baseball Game. Held at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers on May 7, this beloved island tradition saw the hometown favorite Mighty Mussels go down 7-3 against the visiting Dunedin Blue Jays.

For many islanders in the stands, the pre-game parade was as enjoyable as the baseball game that followed.

Bankers Richard Shera and Sherry Parmely lead the Bank’s parade revelers.

“Seeing our banker David Lowden lead the parade in his patriotic eagle costume, followed by our dedicated banking staff next in procession, was such fun,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “Time-honored gatherings like Islands Night help reinforce the special community we have on Sanibel and Captiva.”
