Bank of the Islands is proud to support the work of Feed My Starving Children as a $500 sponsor and volunteer team for its event on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1. The bank is also encouraging its customers and neighbors to join them as volunteers.
“We are so happy to help support the good work of Feed My Starving Children both with a financial contribution and with our time,” said Bank of the Islands President Robbie Roepstorff. “They have set an impressive goal of distributing 185,000 packaged meals in MobilePacks, so we hope others in our community will consider joining the effort.”
Feed My Starving Children is a national nonprofit organization that works with local volunteers to pack healthy meals for children in need worldwide.
The event will return to the island at the Sanibel Community Church, 1740 Periwinkle Way. Volunteers can sign up for two-hour shifts on Jan. 31 or Feb. 1. Several shift options are available on both days.
Volunteers should register by calling Dave Truelsen at 847-305-9175 or emailing him at dave.truelsen@gmail.com.
