Bank of the Islands is proud to sponsor the first lecture in Ding Darling Wildlife Society’s 21st Annual “Ding” Darling Winter Lecture Series. Tony Lapi will be the featured speaker, kicking off the series on Thursday, January 22.
His remarks, entitled “Memories of ‘Tween Waters Inn,” are based on Lapi’s popular memoir “Tales of an Island Innkeeper.”
“As we all know, Tony Lapi is a pillar of our island community,” said Bank President Robbie Roepstorff. “Whether it’s the United Way or other causes important to Sanibel and Captiva, Tony can always be counted on to play a leadership role. ‘Tween Waters, Captiva, and Sanibel wouldn’t be the same without his longstanding service and commitment. We are so happy to make his presentations possible.”
Lapi’s remarks are being offered twice on January 22nd at 10am and 1pm. The events will take place at the Education Center of the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge, and admission is free.
