Birds!! No Words. Coming To BIG ARTS

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

BIG ARTS is proud to present BIRDS!! No Words, a collaborative installation by Shah Hadjebi, Marti Koehler, Mariapia Malerba, and Wilson McCray. Over the course of nearly three months, the four artists will create an expansive 6 x 125-foot work on paper in the Dunham Family Gallery.

This “drawing marathon,” which runs from Aug. 4 through Oct. 24, invites audiences to witness the evolving creative process. Visitors are encouraged to stop in often to watch the artists at work and return throughout the project to see the progress.

Rooted in each artist’s spiritual connection with nature, the project honors Sanibel’s unique role as a sanctuary island. The resulting work is both a celebration of life and a revelation of shared vision.

The gallery is open to the public throughout the project. A special reception with the artists will be held Friday, October 24, at 5:00 PM.
