The Board of County Commissioners in Lee County voted on Tuesday, April 28, to reopen county beaches and access points, which include Captiva Island and the Causeway Islands. The Captiva Erosion Prevention District announced Alison Hagerup Beach parking lot, bathroom facilities and Andy Rosse Lane beach accesses will be open to the public effective Wednesday, April 29, per the BOCC decision.
