Captiva Historical Society Honoring Lindbergh’s Book

The Captiva Island Historical Society is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the best-selling book, “Gift From The Sea,” by Anne Morrow Lindbergh, during “Anne Morrow and More” at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Captiva Civic Center, 11550 Chapin Lane.

Time spent on Captiva Island inspired Morrow to pen the book, and this original script program blends poignant passages from it with tidbits from the historical society’s archives on what was happening on Captiva and worldwide in the early 1950s.
