Island non-profit professionals enjoy an end-of-season pool party at Sundial Resort.

On Wednesday, June 18, the Charitable Foundation of the Islands (CFI), in partnership with Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, hosted a special End-of-Season Nonprofit Pool Party to celebrate and thank more than 75 nonprofit professionals serving Sanibel and Captiva.

Special thanks are due to Community Housing & Resources (CHR) for conceiving the idea and to the Clinic for Rehabilitation and Wildlife (CROW) for arranging the in-kind donation.

As the season winds down, the event offered nonprofit staff a rare and meaningful opportunity to relax, recharge, and reconnect. During peak season, many nonprofit professionals are deeply engaged in their work, often with little time to connect across organizations.

This gathering allowed new team members to build relationships with peers from across the islands while also giving longtime colleagues a chance to catch up and strengthen existing bonds.

“Our nonprofit partners give so much to this community,” said Savannah Kelly of CFI. “This day was a small way for us to give back—to honor their commitment and offer a well-earned moment of rest. Collaboration is the heart of our islands’ strength, and CFI is proud to help nurture those connections.”

Thanks to the generous support of Sundial Beach Resort & Spa, attendees enjoyed a full DayCation experience featuring pool and beach access, beach chairs and umbrella service, poolside games, beach volleyball, bicycles, kayaks, paddleboards, and use of tennis and pickleball courts.

“We were honored to host this incredible group,” said Donna Brown, Regional Marketing Manager at the Sundial Beach Resort and Spa. “Their work plays a vital role in the well-being of these islands, and we’re proud to support their efforts.”

CFI extends its deepest thanks to Sundial Beach Resort & Spa and to every nonprofit professional whose dedication continues to uplift the Sanibel-Captiva community.
