Sanibel’s Original Cheeburger Cheeburger is offering two special menu items on Wednesday, Sept. 18 in honor of National Cheeseburger Day.
Known for its custom burgers and shakes, the restaurant will feature the Surf & Turf Burger and the Terrific Turkey Burger, along with a host of other burger favorites including the 1.5-pound Cheeburger Challenge Burger Meal.
Guests who finish-off the giant Challenge burger, fries and a shake receive a Tshirt proclaiming their gastronomic feat. Their photo is also added to the restaurant’s Digital Wall of Fame.
“There is no better place than here to enjoy a juicy burger and celebrate the ultimate American sandwich” said Cheeburger manager, Sithembile Khumalo. “Whether you come in for one of our specials or to take the Cheeburger Challenge, we look forward to serving you a great meal with a side of fun.”
The Original Cheeburger Cheeburger has been an island favorite for decades and reopened this spring after a total remodel including the addition of a sports bar with a daily happy hour. The restaurant is located in Tahitian Gardens, 1975 Periwinkle Way
