Community Housing & Resources Communications Crisis Director Angela Luallen has been commissioned as a Notary Public by the State of Florida. As such, Luallen will serve the public as an impartial witness involved in key legal transactions for private citizens.

Duties can include witnessing the signing of important documents such as wills, contracts, and real estate deeds, verifying identities, and preventing fraud. Luallen received her four-year Notary Public commission on May 23 from Governor Ron DeSantis.

“Angela’s hard work to achieve her Notary Public commission is another example of how our CHR team members keep bettering themselves to serve our community better,” said CHR Executive Director Nicole Decker-McHale.

Luallen joined CHR in December 2024 as Communications Manager and is actively involved in the community, having recently joined SanCap Kiwanis and represented CHR at the Disasters Expo USA in Miami in March.

About Community Housing & Resources
Community Housing & Resources, Inc. (CHR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to provide affordable housing for families and individuals who work and serve our island communities. CHR was formed in 1979 to address the growing need for affordable housing in the Sanibel community. In 1983, the City of Sanibel passed an ordinance establishing the Affordable Housing Program and designating CHR as the city’s housing foundation. Today, CHR owns affordable housing units at various locations on Sanibel, including rental properties — one of which is a 12-unit complex just for senior residents — and Limited Equity Ownership (LEO) homes through the Coast and Islands Community Land Trust.
