City Commencing Annual Street Resurfacing Project

The City of Sanibel’s annual street resurfacing project will commence Monday, August 5, and be done during normal daytime hours. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained at all times. The public is reminded to use caution when traveling through a construction zone. The following streets are included in this project:

Wulfert Road (from Wildlife Drive to Sanctuary Entrance)
West Rocks Drive
Coquina Drive
East Rocks Drive
Emeril Court
Durion Court
Chert Court
Agate Court
Boulder Circle
Palm Lake Drive
Donax Street (repairs to northbound lane)

Every year the city resurfaces selected roads based upon a time schedule and existing condition. This year’s road resurfacing contract amount is $534,000 involving full-width resurfacing of ten streets mentioned, and repairs to Donax Street. The contractor is required to complete the project within 30 days.
