Climate Change Theatre Action Coming to Sanibel

provided to The Santiva Chronicle

The Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation, Players Circle Theater, and Florida Gulf Coast University faculty, students, and alums are once again participating in a global festival of short plays exploring the climate crisis, turning facts into deeply human stories.

“The Time is Now” is this year’s theme for Climate Change Theatre Action, which marks its 10th anniversary as a global festival of short plays by playwrights worldwide, all focused on climate change.

Throughout the evening, the audience is invited to take part in a community conversation and interactive elements on climate change, including ideas for taking action, led by members of the cast and SCCF staff.

Produced by Players Circle co-founder and producing director Carrie Lund Cacioppo, a selection of plays will be staged at SCCF’s Bailey Homestead on Sanibel on Dec. 3 and at Players Circle Theater on Dec. 8.

Tickets are $10. Click the link to order tickets for SCCF, Dec. 3, at the Bailey Homestead Preserve: https://events.humanitix.com/climate-change-theatre. To order tickets for Players Circle Theater, Dec. 8, call 239-800-3292.
