The Sanibel City Council will consider an amendment to Section 30-70, Gas Powered Leaf Blowers, of Sanibel’s Code of Ordinances at the regular meeting on Tuesday, July 15.
If approved, the use of gas-powered leaf blowers will be prohibited unless waived in relation to a future weather event that results in a declaration of a state of local emergency.
If the ordinance amending Section 30-70 is approved, the use of gas-powered leaf blowers will be prohibited on the effective date of the ordinance.
