Homerun/Title Sponsor Bank of the Island’s David Lowden goes to bat for the SanCap Chamber with the chamber team John Lai, Jade Nakonetschny, and (back) Aaron Walton.

Bank of the Islands has stepped up to the plate to support the SanCap Chamber with a combination Title sponsorship of the Annual Meeting luncheon on Wednesday, April 8, and Homerun sponsorship of the 33rd annual Islands Night ball game on Friday, May 8. Bailey’s General Store has agreed to sponsor the Islands’ Night first-ever drone show.

“Spring brings our two big events, so mark your calendars for these dates,” said John Lai, president and chief executive officer of the SanCap Chamber. “We are so appreciative of the support from our loyal sponsors, and more sponsorships remain open for those who want to part of these exciting traditions.”

During the annual meeting, starting at 11 a.m. at Marriott Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, the chamber will introduce its new board of directors for 2026, share its 2024-2025 achievements, and announce the winners of its annual membership awards for Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Sue Rosica Gray Volunteer of the Year, and Citizen of the Year. Admission is $75.

More details will be forthcoming about the meeting and the 33rd annual Sam Bailey’s Islands Night at Hammond Stadium. The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels will meet the Tampa Tarpons for an evening of baseball, a pre-game parade showcasing businesses and organizations from Sanibel and Captiva islands, and the inaugural drone presentation.

Tickets now are available for free admission at the Chamber Visitors Center, Bank of the Islands, Bit of Bailey’s, Jerry’s Food, and Sanibel Recreation Center. Or visit gofevo.com/event/Sambaileys2 for an e-ticket.
