Progressives of the Islands will host Ann-Marie Wildman, Executive Director of the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society, on Thursday, March 19. Wildman will talk about the Sanibel environment.
As Executive Director of the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society, Wildman leads this non-profit friend’s group, which is recognized around the country as one of the premier friend’s organizations with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The Society is recognized for its work supporting the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Refuge in education, programming, land acquisition/restoration, and overall conservation efforts through marketing, philanthropic support, and advocacy.
Wildman’s involvement with the “Ding” Darling Wildlife Society began as a supporter and board member when she moved to Sanibel in 2009, and continued as a part-time, then full-time staff member overseeing The Nature Store, developing their online presence, and ultimately moving into the area of Donor Development and Philanthropy.
Her talk about the Sanibel environment will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Sanibel Public Library, 770 Dunlop Rd. If interested in attending, an RSVP is required. Please email: prosancapislands@gmail.com.
