The Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife weekly Speaker Series continues Tuesday, April 19 with “The Effects of Water Mismanagement” presented by Captain Chris Wittman, co-founder and director of outreach and engagement at Captains for Clean Water.

In 2016, a couple of fishing guides had enough of Florida’s poor water management practices devastating the estuaries upon which we rely. These fishing guides created a nonprofit organization now fighting to restore and protect our water resources. This talk featuring Captain Chris Wittman, Co-Founder and Director of Outreach and Engagement at Captains for Clean Water, will discuss the advanced efforts and initiatives to protect these valuable resources and our way of life for future generations.

Speaker Series programs begin at 4:15 p.m. and are approximately one hour in length. This talk will be presented in person at CROW’s Visitor Education Center and will also be offered virtually over Zoom so advanced registration is required. A fourth-generation Florida native, Captain Chris Wittman, co-founded Captains For Clean Water after witnessing the consequences of Florida’s water mismanagement. His extensive experience as a fishing and hunting guide, nationally renowned tournament angler, on-camera host, and TV show producer allows him to engage leading brands and personalities across the industry and identify opportunities to expand the organization’s reach.
