Eldon Bohrofen, August Crane Sponsor Rotary’s Two Major Fundraisers

Past SanCap Rotary President and current Area District Governor Eldon Bohrofen, along with three-year bride Augusta Crane, are silver sponsors of the Rotary’s Arts and Crafts Festival Feb. 19-20 at the Sanibel Community House, 2173 Periwinkle Way, and the Golf Charity Cup Scramble March 26 at the Sanibel Island Golf Club, 1100 Par View Dr.

Bohrofen has long been known withing the SanCap Rotary for his Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust (CART) challenge grants to aid the fight against the disease. He said they are “happy to be able to support the good works of SanCap Rotary, both on Sanibel and internationally.”

“We know Rotary funds provide assistance locally to FISH of SanCap, community housing, Harry Chapin (Food Bank) and others, as well as working internationally sending items like wheelchairs to Guatemala and funds to help develop sources of clean water in Haiti, to fight polio in India and provide micro-finance loans giving people a ‘hand up,'” Bohrofen added.

Crane said she is “happy to be able to help extend these good works by supporting the 2022 SanCap Rotary fundraisers.”
