Florida Department of Transportation District One Representative Jennifer Dorning will be the guest speaker at the November FISH of SANCAP Friendly Faces lunch. She will speak about recent infrastructure projects, including the restoration of the Sanibel Causeway.
The Friendly Faces lunch is a time to connect with the community and hear from informational speakers. The next one is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at The Sanibel Recreation Center, 3880 Sanibel Captiva Rd. A virtual option is also available.
The Sanibel Deli prepares the complimentary lunch for in-person attendees.
“We are grateful to the Sanibel Recreation Center and The Sanibel Deli for their support in making our monthly event possible,” said FISH Senior Services Director Erika Arnowitz.
Dorning lives in Iona with her husband Johnny and their son, who attends 4th grade at The Sanibel School. Their roots run deep, as they vacationed on Captiva for many years and were married at the Chapel by The Sea.
She has 20 years of experience as a public outreach consultant for transportation and infrastructure projects throughout southwest Florida. She is proud to represent FDOT on the Emergency Restoration of the Sanibel Causeway.
“These luncheons provide an opportunity to reconnect and learn from our guest speakers, and we look forward to welcoming everyone in November,” said Arnowitz.
Reservations and meal choices are required by Friday, Nov. 8, by contacting Arnowitz at 239-472-4775. Zoom instructions will be provided upon registration for virtual guests.
