FISH of SANCAP is recognizing two long-standing community supporters, Periwinkle Park and The Law Office of Janet Strickland, which are Silver Sponsors of JOG N JAM this year.
The generous support of these two businesses plays a crucial role in strengthening the organization’s programs that assist neighbors facing food insecurity, financial hardship, and the ongoing challenges of hurricane recovery.
FISH Board Member and JOG N JAM Committee Chair Leah Winkler expressed her appreciation for the sponsors’ involvement.
“We are incredibly thankful to Periwinkle Park and The Law Office of Janet Strickland for stepping up as Silver Sponsors,” Winkler said. “Their dedication to this community is inspiring.”
“They care deeply about the people who live and work here. Their support means the world to FISH, and it helps us extend our reach even further,” said Winkler.
Periwinkle Park has been a destination campground on the island for decades and is just a 10-minute walk from the shell-lined beaches. It welcomes everything from motorhomes to tents.
“Sanibel has always felt like one big family, and FISH embodies that spirit of neighbors helping neighbors,” said Periwinkle Park Manager David Muench, who has deep family roots on the island.
“After everything this community has been through, from hurricanes to housing challenges, it feels good to support an organization that shows up for people in so many ways. JOG N JAM is a fun way to bring us together while giving back,” Muench said.
The Law Office of Janet Strickland has provided legal services with compassion and integrity for more than 35 years. Strickland began practicing law in 1991 in Colorado and opened her law office in 2010 in Sanibel. Attorney Neva K. Torres joined Strickland’s law firm in 2024.
“FISH is about so much more than services,” said Strickland. “They offer hope, dignity, and care. I’ve seen firsthand the impact they have on families, seniors, and the workforce here.”
“Supporting JOG N JAM is a way to stand with an organization that stands with this community every single day,” said Strickland.
