FISH of SanCap is hosting a special Oral Health Outreach Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, at the FISH Food Pantry, 2422 Periwinkle Way, facilitated by Project Dentists Care.
The event offers free information about dental hygiene, preventive care, and the no-cost dental services available through PDC’s Fort Myers clinic for patients earning below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.
Guests are welcome to drop by anytime during the event — no RSVP is needed — to chat with PDC representatives and learn about the services they provide, including emergency dentistry, extractions, fillings, dentures and partials, and more. Every adult visitor will receive a complimentary oral healthcare gift bag, and parents can also pick up one for their children.
“Oral health plays such an important role in overall well-being, yet too many people delay care due to cost or lack of access,” says Simon Robson, Community Outreach & Resiliency Director at FISH of SanCap.
“We’re grateful to Project Dentists Care for bringing their information and compassion to our neighbors. Events like this make it easier for families to learn ways to stay healthy,” said Robson.
Project Dentists Care is a volunteer-based program that provides basic dental care—including cleanings, exams, fillings, and emergency services—to underserved individuals throughout Lee County. By connecting people with affordable, high-quality care, the organization helps restore comfort, confidence, and overall health for those who need it most.
