Florida Trust Wealth Management on Tuesday, Feb. 17, will host a special estate planning program titled Perpetual Wealth – The Legal, Tax and Financial Systems Weren’t Built with You in Mind, presented by nationally recognized attorney and CPA Craig Hersch, author of “Perpetual Wealth.”

This educational program explores why the most successful families don’t simply accumulate wealth – they design durable legal, tax, and financial systems to protect it across generations. Drawing from the principles in his book, Hersch will outline practical strategies families can use to build structures that support long-term control, efficiency, and legacy planning.

Attendees will gain insight into how traditional planning frameworks often fall short for high-achieving families and how a more integrated, system-based approach can help align wealth, family goals, and governance.

“Families work too hard building wealth to leave its future to chance,” said Megan Marquardt, CFP, CFTA, Fort Myers president of Florida Trust Wealth Management. “This program helps people understand how proactive estate and trust planning can create clarity, control, and continuity for future generations. It’s about turning success into lasting structure.”

“We see every day how thoughtful estate planning brings peace of mind to families,” said Jeff Muddell, MBA, CFP, Sanibel president of Florida Trust Wealth Management. “Craig’s ‘Perpetual Wealth’ framework gives attendees a practical roadmap to move beyond basic documents and build coordinated systems that help support their legacy.”
