It’s not too late. As previously announced, the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva is excited to bring back “A Peek at the Unique,” the renowned home tour which raised more than one million dollars over two decades. Set for Saturday, March 16, 9 a.m. to 12 noon, with departures every half-hour from the Sanibel Community House, the event has tickets available – click here.

Organizers are delighted to announce that the “Peek” schedule now includes three island homes plus a spectacular beach-front garden, all showcasing Sanibel resilience. The tour buses go first to the secluded west end, where guests will visit two spectacular homes, one with a newly-completed, major renovation and the other in the style of an English manor house.

The third is a brand-new Gulf-front home, designed to resist threatening elements including inundation, since water can flow unimpeded through the ground level. The final stop is at a magical beach-front garden, wrecked during the storm but re-designed with found objects and native plantings.

The “Peek” supports Zonta’s mission of empowering women and girls, along with a new offering, “Jukebox Bingo,” at the Sanibel Community House, coming up Wednesday, March 20 and April 17, 4-6 p.m. For information or to donate, visit www.zontasancap.org or follow Zonta Sanibel-Captiva on Facebook.
