The Charitable Foundation of the Islands invites donors, partners, and community members to a special gathering on March 2 to hear directly from Community Impact Fund grant partners and learn about the impact already taking shape across Sanibel and Captiva.
The event will be held at the Sanibel & Captiva Realtors Association. Coffee and light bites will be available beginning at 10 a.m., with the formal program starting at 10:30 a.m.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear updates from grant partners, ask questions, and gain an insider’s look at the projects their generosity is helping make possible. Participants will also be invited to share feedback on the community’s top priorities, which will help guide future grantmaking. CFI will also provide a brief update on the Community Impact Fund, including progress to date and plans for 2026.
In its inaugural year, the Community Impact Fund raised more than $218,000, with $50,000 set aside to respond to future emergencies and disasters, ensuring the community is better prepared for unexpected challenges.
“This gathering is about closing the loop with our donors and community—showing how generosity turns into real, visible impact,” said Dolly Farrell, Executive Director of the Charitable Foundation of the Islands. “It’s also an opportunity to listen, learn, and shape what comes next together.”
The Community Impact Fund is a flexible, pooled fund that allows donors at all levels to support strategic grantmaking that strengthens the islands today and into the future. Grants support innovation, nonprofit capacity, and initiatives that build community resilience.
Community members interested in attending are asked to reserve their seats by emailing info@sancapcfi.org.
