The Progressive Club of the Islands will host a “Welcome Back” Potluck Supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, at the Sanibel Community House, 2l73 Periwinkle Way. This annual event is held to renew old friendships and welcome new ones. The meeting is free and everyone interested in progressive politics is invited to attend.

The Potluck will feature a short discussion of the current state of the waters surrounding our islands, presented by Dr. Ryan Orgera, CEO of the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation. In addition, there will be information available on a variety of topics covered at previous meetings, as well as issues that may be on the 2020 ballot. Speakers and topics for up-coming Membership Meetings will be announced.
